Vocals, Rhythm guitar & flute
Teeci Clark was raised in a family with a love of country music. Her roots deep in Oklahoma, she grew up singing the songs of Patsy Cline, Merle Haggard and Charly Pride at a very young age and started singing in the church choir at the age of 8. That’s when her love for music began. At the age of 12, she learned to play flute and played in orchestras and marching bands throughout the school. Also, starring in plays and musicals in high school.
It was in 1985, with encouragement from a friend that she entered her first singing talent contest and won. With her strong, gravelly voice Teeci formed her first band and started playing nightclubs and festivals from California to Florida. Opening for such acts as Gene Watson, Red Simpson and yes, a childhood favorite, Charley Pride. Her band played in such notable venues as Gilley’s in Pasadena, Texas and Ernest Tubb’s Record Shop in Nashville, Tennessee.
In 1992, she met Joe Eiffert. He taught her to play guitar and together they formed the band, Southern Spirit. This band became very popular, playing the circuit all over Southern California, Las Vegas, and the western United States. Opening for such acts as Toby Keith, Pam Tillis, Brooks and Dunn among a host of others, all while raising two beautiful daughters.
While she still enjoys playing with Southern Spirit, she has a new project that is very dear to her heart, American River Band.
Teeci feels as though her musical talent was a gift and should be shared. She said, ” As long as I can make one person happy or one person smile through my work, I will continue to share my gift.”
